Events 2 Empower CIC was honoured to participate in a successful Health Talk for South Asian Heritage Month at Barking Learning Centre, presented by Dr. Jagan John in
collaboration with Barking & Dagenham Council and Barking Library.
The event united residents to educate them on prevalent health issues in South Asian communities, such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, mental health, healthy eating, exercise, weight management, and stress management. Participants were given practical guidance on prevention, early diagnosis, and adopting positive lifestyle changes to enhance long-term health and well-being.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr John, Barking & Dagenham Council, Barking Library, and all attendees for contributing to the tremendous success of this community health awareness event.

At Events 2 Empower CIC, our mission is to minimise health disparities, enhance health knowledge, and empower communities via education, collaboration, and involvement. By working together, we can create healthier, stronger, and more connected communities, one conversation at a time.
